New Mod and partnership!

Hello Racer ,
I would like to know your opinion on bringing a new mod into our season of racing ,
Because we have a week off the Idea would be to race F1 over here and our friends Matt and Ben from FreelanceDrinker would provide
a server for us to play the second mod ,

Now, we are ,That's Me ,Ben and Matt trying to build something solid that will last and Mostly with dedicated racer that we can count on week after week !
So we can practice and play together for a long time

The idea would be to all join both event ,naturally we all have a life and somtimes we have to skip a few ,thats ok ,

For the Mod some have spoken about F1 1991 ,Cart 1998 ,and theres many ,lets pick a nice one that everyone enjoys !

So don't be shy give us your opinion ,wich mod ,Saturday or sunday ,ect!

That sounds great. I would like to offer my thoughts or feelings. For me, I think Saturday evenings would work best. I think if a full schedule was put in place similar to our MMG schedule that ran every other week offsetting the current league we would have a race every weekend and enough time to work on setups etc. I am an avid F1 fan and truly enjoy racing F1 cars. Some of the available mods really are terrific, but lend them selves to redundancy. In that light, there is a mod out there that keys itself on some of the early historic beginnings or major changes in Formula 1. Its called F1 1979. It seems accurate and these cars are a blast to drive. Try it out.

My 1st choice Mod is F1 1991 LE ( slicks tyres ) or 79 it's ok too
and unfortunately we don't have a nice rally series to buzz on
something really differents driving style

I came here to race F1, but....

What about racing some of the closed wheel endurance cars like the ALMS series or even the Rolex series. They are almost F1 cars with bodies and are super fast and different.

If not that, the 1979 F1 cars would be great.

My desire is to make sure that the new 'off week (???)' series is different and contrasting. Otherwise, lets just run an MMG practice race.

Hi guys!

First off I would like to say thanks to J.P for bringing up the idea of us starting a new series here. With that, my intentions were to run a Champ Car series using either Champ 07, Champ 06, Indycar95, or Cart Factor. I know most of you prefer F1 over anything.

The series would not start until after the 1st of the year and would most likely be run on Saturday as that is the only day I can race with the exception of a few Sunday races that the wife doesn't know about

So please keep the ideas coming!

I'd be glad to try a new mod and I rely on you all to find one. I haven't really tried other mods than F1 so...

Saturdays may be a bit complicated for me, but I'll show up in practices.

Nothing can compete with F1 for speed... A bald fact He he....

I have been driving a few LeMans mods since I posted and found another on rFactor Central, my most trusted site. It has the Audi R8 and many other cars. Faster perhaps than the others I suggested. If speed is really wanted, then I go back to 1979 F1. Fast, but with a very narrow rev band. A great setup and driving challange. Another would be a turbo CART car. Great fuel-turbo-power strategy. We could even throw in the Indy 500??

Since so many speak up ,here's my suggestion :

We could try the Epsilon Mod on the Sunday or Friday following the GP
and Cart98 on the saturday also following GP ,so we could get
ready for january Champ Car series ! that's lot's of racing

I liked the epsilon, but how about the American LeMans mod I sent in my second post. The LMP Audi was 5 seconds a lap quicker than the epsilon at Maylasia.

As it is a LeMans type series, make sure that when you run the mod that you select one of the fast LMP vehicles.

Its fast. Not F1 but perhaps as fast as Cart.
